Everquest 2 Gold

EQ2 Gold is what you will likely use as your choice of currency in the world of Norrath. While the base denomination is bronze, and there is also silver, most trade and exchanges are done in gold. Even with platinum around, it is eq2 gold that dominates trade.

Mounts in EverQuest II mostly consist of several different styles of Horse. For level 30 guilds with lots of status, a Flying Carpet (MajDul) and Spirit Steed (or Unholy Servant) are also available. The mounts available go from Tier 1 to Tier 4. Tiers 1-3 can be bought with straight cash, or a combination of plat and guild status. Tier 4 (as mentioned above) can be bought with guild status equivalent to a level 30 guild combined with plat, but requires the guild status. There are also two horses available as "fun spells" for Shadowknights and Paladins. The tier 1 through tier 3 horses all come in two styles: a more traditional looking horse and a decorated parade style horse.

All mounts can be activated by purchasing the proper "whistle" (Sample) and placing it in your inventory slot for "activatable." All of the mounts come with speed buffs varying from 10% to 48%. It should be noted that movement buffs (such as bard songs or Spirit of the Wolf) do not stack with mount speed boosts. A few other key points are that smaller races like Gnomes do not need to buy ponies; all horses resize according to your race when summoned. Mounts can be ridden in open zones and large city zones. They are not accessible in caves and instances, and you can fight and harvest from your mount. If you travel through a zone line, you do not need to re-summon your mount. You will still be on your mount if the zone you enter applies to the large open zone requirement.
